10 ë³ñòàïàäà 2009 ã.
In October, 2009 our group went on ethnographic expedition to Palesse. Those were three unforgettable days of travelling,
meeting new people and singing. We recorded over 10 hours of valuable material, which is currently being arranged.
Not sure if we found the song, which no ethnographer heard, but that was not our purpose. We went to experience the
true mutual ancient manner of singing. We appreciate villagers of Atverzhychy (Stolin district) and Kliatnaya
(Pinsk district) for the treasure which they shared with us. With all our strength we will promote and keep it
with NO CHANGES everything that was heard and seen.

September 4, 2009 group “Rada” played at a traditional belarusian wedding of Jauhen Bilej and Katziaryna Dziadziulia. The wedding was celebrated in Nialidavichy, not far from Minsk. Group “Rada” sincerely wishes the young couple – Jauhen and Katziaryna – to live to be a hundred.

On May 31, 2009 group Rada performed a concert interactive folk-program at a scancen not far from Belastok in phrames of museum festival “Zialionyja sviaty”.
From the official letter of appreciation of the head of Belastok village museum, gentleman Arthur Gavela:
"...the concert and teaching how to dance supplemented musical accompaniment of our folk-action..."

On May 29-30, 2009 group Rada took part in festival “Tam po majovuj rosi”, festival of
Padlesse and Palesse that took place in Studzivody, not far from Belsk Padlesski (Poland).
The group presented their vocal programme after their own expeditions to Palesse. Instrumental
part of the performance, that had been prepared by Ales Los, aroused lots of positive emotions
in the participants of the festival. Especially good turned out to be a joint improvisation with
musicians from Stahau, Stolin district, Brest region.

On March 5, 2009 ethnogroup Rada was given an award and a gratuity in nomination for “The devotion
to Belarusian traditions and culture”. The award was presented personally by the head of direction
of “Priorbank” S.A. Kastziuchenka. Herbert Stepitch, the head of direction of Rifefinance International
Bank – Holding company (Austria) also congratulated the group. This event was devoted to the twentieth
anniversary of “Priorbank”.

On February 25, 2009 something unbelievable for the city happened in Minsk.
In restaurant Bastion creative presentation of group “RADA” took place. The presentation didn’t
have any preliminary public advertising. Members of the group decided to gather their friends.
For them to play – was the chief aim. In spite of some worries more than 80 people came.
The restaurant was filled to capacity...

On January 20, 2009 members of group “RADA” – Ales Los, Ales Zhukouski together with Volga Shulpiankova
took part in the opening of exhibition “Belarusian wedding” in Minsk regional historical museum in
Maladzechna. During the performance different tunes that usually accompany traditional belarusian
wedding were played. One more folk group, that took part in the opening of the exhibition,
is vocal folk group “GUDA”.

On January 28, 2008 group “RADA” took part in a patronal festival in belarusian greek-catholic parish
of st. Joseph. After the Holy Liturgy a few Christmas songs were sung, after that traditional belarusian
dancing was organized.

Group “RADA” opened by their performance annual carnival “Christmas fest” that took place in clubhouse
“Reactor” (Minsk). Among other participants of the carnival were groups “Stary Olsa”, “Testamentum Terre”,
girlish group of ancient music “Rasalija”, theatre “Histryjon”, groups “Znich” and “Litvin Trol’”.
Danuta Gryn (11 years old, Zaslavl) played the violin together with the main members of the group.
She made her debut, our congratulations!

December 6-7, 2008
28 Competition in shepherd musical instruments playing took place in Tzihanavetz (Poland).
Members of group “RADA” Aleh Lukjantzau and Vasil Gryn received a third prize in category “Other shepherd
instruments”. A concert of group “RADA” took place. One could hear traditional belarusian male singing and
music. Groups from Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Belarus also took part in the competition.

November 27-29, 2008
Participation in the 9th International festival “Ancient songs of Europe” in Liublin (Poland).
Within the framework of the festival group “RADA” gave a concert in the hall of Polish Radio in Liublin.
During the concert belarusian male singing and traditional music were presented. Among other participants
of the festival were: groups “Dreva” (Ukraine), “Konfranternia Oratorio di Santa Croce” from Kastelsardo
(Sardinia, Italy), “Vremia” (Russia) and many others.
